How significant is Barack Obama’s victory in South Carolina?

Mr. Main Event asked:
Everybody knew that he was going to win South Carolina because everybody expected that a huge majority of the African Americans were going to vote for him. So, has his victory been downplayed by everyone’s expectations?

His victory is not significant at all. Hillary will win, because she is the best candidate ever.
He gets the delegates of course, but it also shows that he can not only get a large black vote but quite a bit of the whit vote as well. Of course it is to early to be sure, but as of now this victory definitely helps him more then hurt him as some thought it might.
Not significant at all. Because he won SC simply because over half of the voters there are black. The rest of the states are not quite so even.

We’ll know better on Super Tuesday.
As far as the above poster, Jezzebel with all the false ‘facts’ about Obama, a PRIME example of brainwashed sheep. Probably watched Fox News.
ITS SIGNIFICANT ONLY IN DEMONSTRATING THAT BILL IS INEFFECTIVE..OVER…YESTERDAYS NEWS
To African Americans it is very significant, but to whites it is still viewed as not all that significant..
Not significant, as it has been expected thru the exit polls in nevada and michigan that the blacks will vote obama regardless….obama has been expected to win SC
Obama is downhill from here, starting with florida next week and then most of the feb 5 states, because hillary beats obama in getting the votes from whites and hispanics
I am happy to see it, I know that.
No big deal
If he lost, that would be the story
