Does the Colin Powell endorsement of Barack Obama put a different spin on “terrorist associations” for Barack?

Erac Q, or What asked:

M.H. Do you not realize that in the next coming months and probably for years, the only thing WE ALL may be thankful for is Socialism? This government has been a socialist society/bank account for the rich for years. They bled us dry, got golden parachutes and landed on the heads of the middle class. You better hope that you’ll have a President like Obama who’ll look out for YOUR interests and not the rich.

Absolutely. If McCain keeps it up, he’ll look like an even bigger fool

i never thought obama was a terrorist and i have a mind of my own, so powells endorsement is of no relevance to me.

This shouldn’t come as some huge shock. Powell wanted to leave long before he step down from his position.

Highly doubtful he’d take one again.

No, the truth has always been that he has no ties to terrorism. It does, however, severely undermine any accusation that Obama is not up to par on national security.

  • M H said:

Yes. It has calmed my fears of Terrorist associations but not his belief in socialism as most of the dems in power believe.

Powell is an intelligent and thoroughly capable man who has adhered to a high standard and maintained his integrity.

No in the interview Powwell said it was a great step in the Racial divide in America .Downplaying the Bradley effect! L.O.L.He is voting based on RACE nothing more, well maybe to get off the hook with War Crimes Trials coming Soon under the Obama Administration.Powell has terminal cancer so he doesn’t have to worry much about WMD’s such as the one Named Barack Hussein Obama!

Powell is the reason we are in Iraq. Most Obama supporters either were in diapers when Powell made his famous UN speech to justify the invasion, or they were just not paying attention.

When a 4-star general and former national security advisor endorses a candidate, you can be sure he’s crossed all his T’s and dotted his I’s. I think you can’t get a better endorsement than a person with the character and integrity of Colin Powell.

That argument is gone. What are they going to say, “Colin Powell endorses terrorist Obama? Powell is a terrorist too!” It’s ridiculous. This helps Obama so many ways it’s unbelievable. Powell just gave the Obama campaign all the talking points they need.

No, it really does not. The “terrorists” that Obama supposedly was endorsed by were rioting anti-war hippies Ayers and Rezko, not Osama bin Laden et. al. As for Colin Powell, he’s been a RINO (Republican in Name only) anyway for years, he was pretty certain to endorse anyone else but Bush, including Obama. As for caring for the middle class and socialism, they’re an oversimplification that should be seriously corrected. I’ll ask you if a small business owner is the same as a big CEO, even though both are in the same social class (make over 250k annually? Does a (1/3) corporate tax effect both the same? You need to learn more about economics and business, because you are heavily generalizing and stereotyping how our economy works.

No; only a different spin to Powell being a great man.

He is nothing but an opportunistic Uncle Tom who said things to get ahead with the Reps, and when he found no more use with them, reverted to the blatant racism that blacks have demonstrated throughout the campaign by their overwheling support of BHO, especially obvious during the primaries.

  • MRN said:

No because there never were any associations of terrorists linked to Obama.
